What Does it Mean to Know Jesus?

Does it mean anything to know Jesus? Does it really have anything to do with our life? Does it really benefit us anyway? These are the question that might be asked by our so called 21st century people. Many have come to the conclusion that religion and its practices have no meaning to life. To some extent they are right because when it is talked at the level of practices of norms and rules of a religion.

But talking about a religion is one thing but talking about Jesus is another thing. When I am talking about knowing Jesus, I am not basically putting it into a bracket of religious practices; I am talking about knowing Jesus Personally, knowing Him intimately and experiencing His genuine goodness through our connection with him in spirit.

Knowing Jesus does mean so much to life... for it will give us the answer to who we are and why we are here. Knowing Jesus will help us to understand that we have a Creator and we are not here accidentally or by some misfortune.

Knowing Jesus will tell us that we have a purpose of our existence and that there is something beyond this struggles and trials of life.

Knowing Jesus will revive us with the power of hope that there is a life called eternal life which is beyond this temporary life on this planted.

Knowing Jesus will help us realize that we have a friend who knows our trials and troubles and can sympathize with us in our problems and sufferings.

Knowing Jesus will give us an understanding of our limitation and the power of that Omnipresent and Omnipotent whose power is beyond limitation.

Knowing Jesus will help us to find a correct meaning of religion, it will help us to realize that religion is not a particular practice of hard and fast rules and regulations, it is about caring and nursing the poor, needy, orphans, and aged ones and to love one another sacrificing own benefit.

Knowing Jesus will open our eyes to the understanding of the end of the world and the future hope of this planet.

Therefore knowing Jesus basically means everything! Try it then…

Pray

When you’re broken and with a heavy heart,
And glooms and darkness shroud everything;
Everything seems down the hill,
And in pain and despair you cry;
Pray, my friend, Pray.

When you’re helpless,
When friends leave you and care not,
Even the close one distance themselves
Right then when Life is miserable, Hope is dim;
Pray ,my soul mate, pray unceasingly.

When future is uncertain and cloudy,
Not a sign of sunny day appears before you;
When you feel like a stranger on this planet,
And Problems keep coming, and plans fail
Pray, my companion soul, Pray.

When anxiety eats you,
And past keeps pulling you back
When conscience tortures and troubles
And you lose every bit of desire to live;
Pray, Kneel down, and Pray.

For each utter of your lips will bring healing,
Unload your burdens that you carry,
Open your heart; Raise your eyes to heaven;
And He who watches and hears everything,
Will Reward you with joy and everlasting peace.
